Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Formerly wandetlusty, now sedentary, have always been welcoming and welcomed. I work by day at a public water agency. If I'm not out in the evening I'm puttering about the home and garden making improvements and muttering.
I'm not specifically looking to hang out with you when I host you, but if we both want to go to the same underground punk show, kismet!
Also, ~12 mile hikes are about my speed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was couchsurfing from before the internet existed. You used to have to show up in a town, go to a tavern or cafe, and talk to people to find a place to stay. Or stay up all night, or sleep at the bus station or in a park/cemetery.
Interests
creeks, coffee, whiskey, photography, bike tours, finding out what is really going on.
Music, Movies, and Books
I will ask you about local bands from where you are from.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a fair bit about preserving food, so depending on time of year there may be canning, krauting, or curing going on. House has first permitted residential greywater system in Oakland, and a garden.
Depending on timing, there might be a volunteer tree planting for you to go to with a group I work with.
I have a bear canister you can borrow.
