About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding a way back into Chicago.
ABOUT ME
I graduated in 2008 and continued working in the Bike Program at the Chicago Department of Transportation designing bike lanes. I left right when everything started getting interesting! (Rahm Emanuel brought the DC's bike friendly commissioner in to head CDOT and now bike facilities are skyrocketing in Chicago!).
I'm currently working in the suburbs as a utility coordinator, boring stuff but the job is exciting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only hosted people, mostly through my former roommate who got me into it. Always had a good time with the travelers, and hearing about their trips.
Interests
Anything with two wheels...
I also picked up skiing a year ago and fell in love with it. I need to go faster.
Winter 2011 I started kite skiing as well, I use a small 4m^2 Ozone foil kite and a pair of downhill skies. Awesome! I can't wait to pick up kitesurfing this summer on Lake Michigan. Hopefully I'll learn how to swim by then.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like folk music, epic and melodic metal, and everything in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took a cross-country motorcycle trip exploring the eastern half of the US. I rode down to Florida to watch the last planned flight of Space Shuttle Atlantis with some friends, then continued up the East Coast to Maine. I also stopped in Philly to fix my bike and cruise around town with another friend. New York City was definitely the highlight, I ended up spending a week there.
Next trip I'm planning: Chicago to Argentina by motorcycle.
