CURRENT MISSION
when i'm dead, i don't want to feel like i missed anything.
ABOUT ME
i just copied and pasted my face book profile...it's easier, and it gets the point across of who i am. it's a little cheeky, but, i guess, so am i....
I'm kind of a reclusive drunken asshole. i have no friends and prefer the company of squirrels. looking for a long term relationship with someone who has no self esteem and is easily whipped into shape. ill pay if i have to, but not much. I'm kinda creepy, too. if you're still interested, i might have to wonder about you...
I was going to erase this, but it's kind of an inside joke, and it makes me laugh...
seriously... i'm not really looking for a relationship, just acquaintances for right now. i'm working on putting myself back in the center of the universe, but reality keeps getting in the way. i usually say what i think without thinking about it first. this gets me in trouble sometimes, but it beats not saying anything at all.
i spend a lot of time outdoors, live in a small town half way between seattle and portland. i spent a lot of time back and forth between sf, palm springs, guerneville and here over the past five years, and found I'm more comfortable with the small town, redneck way of life. i'd rather be playing pool in a little dive bar than dancing with a thousand people i don't really know...
i've done a lot in my life. enlisted in the navy young, as a gay man and then got discharged for it. spent a year battling the military courts, in 1985. it was hard. it made me grow, eventually. i've traveled all over the world, owned three businesses, 2 successful, 1...meh. a few lovers, from whom i learned much, about myself, people, and the way of life. i had the unique joy of growing up in a loving family without the false pretenses of religion, and was allowed to be who i am without condition.
im headstrong, adventurous, and self confidant (although there's been some ebb and flow on that one!)
things i like...homegrown punk bands. puppy breath. both kinds. really creative food (i'll try anything once. usually twice.) when i'm walking in the forest and completely surrounded by thirty shades of green. quick wit. jack kerouac. tree glades with 30 inches of fluffy new powder, no tracks, and a really fat, long board. bad santa, the fountain, and full metal jacket. punctuation, but not apostrophe's. 80's dance music. (doesn't make me feel old.) art, and artistically inclined folk. squirrels. people that say what they mean, and be passionate about it .
turn offs? circuit party queens, narcissism, drugs. people that take themselves more seriously than life. capitalization. little rocks in my shoe. shaved backs. possums, and guys that smell like 'em.
i'm 420 friendly, although i abstain.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i'm new here. we'll see how this evolves...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
friends, mostly.
Intereses
just a word about where i live....
this is a fairly conservative community. i love people, and am blind to labels such as orientation, color, gender choices, etc. i surround myself with like minded people, but i can't speak for the community as a whole. it's not a dangerous place by any means, but it's definitely not greenwich village...

Algo increíble que he hecho
a two month trip through the parque nacional barranca del cobre, on the chihuahua al pacífico railroad. a group of canyons consisting of 6 distinct canyons in the sierra tarahumara in the southwestern part of the state of chihuahua in mexico, the overall canyon system is larger and portions are deeper than the grand canyon in the neighboring united states. the tarahumara peoples that live in this region are both warm and friendly, if not a little wary of tourists. but respect gets you a long way....
Enseña, aprende, comparte
i have traveled over four continents, and there is one thing i've learned...respect. respect the people, the culture, the language, your hosts, their food and customs. respect those that take you in, and those that don't. you will learn more, experience more, feel more and participate more if you just truly, and honestly, love everything around you and try to conform to whatever situation you are in. and respect.
