About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Embrace the chaos

ABOUT ME

I'm a veterinarian working in research (virology). Came to Canada in 2009 and liked it so much so it looks like I'm staying. I was kind of restless for a while and moved around lots, but now I think I'm ready to stay somewhere for longer.
Haha, so as a result I'm taking on all these new responsibilities and got myself a horse. LOVE it. I'm a veterinarian for a reason - couldn't be without a dog for long, and a dog (or two, in my case) + horse is even better.
I love being outside, and usually in spring I don't spend much time indoors anymore.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry too much. Or maybe only worry for the right things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to have fun and meet cool people and if they're interested show them that Calgary is actually a pretty exciting place if you look closely.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted some, gone to local meetings pretty regularly, never stayed anywhere... yet. :)

Interests

Oh, tons of things. Arabic architecture, Argentina, Arts, Bruce Lee, Burning Man (2010 :D ), CLIMBING!, daydreaming, dogs, hiking, HORSES, ice climbing, literature and language, live music (anything from Independent to Jazz), mountain biking, movies, pretty much all outdoors acitivities, people, photography, theater, unicorns, weird things.

Lying in an outside hot tub in winter and watching the stars after a good day of iceclimbing...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a few.

Jumped out of a plane.
Camped out in the mountains with my horse and dog.
Flew over the boreal forest in a tiny plane spotting bison.
And Burning Man was probably the craziest place I've ever been to.
