My name is Afonso. I'm 24 and I was born and have always lived in Lisbon. I just finished my Master degree in Medicine and decided to take a gap year befora entering the specialty. I also play drums in a cool emerging band (eheh), Basset Hounds, which is trying to find it's place in the Portuguese Indie scene. This is probably a huge cliché but I really enjoy meeting and get to knowing different people from different places even though I might appear a bit shy at first. This was a pleasure I acquired and realised not a long time ago. I simply adore Lisbon and I love to show it to everyone and to convince people to move here. I guess the city does that on it's own. I mean it: i'd love to walk you around town. Some more? Well. I love to drink and go out with friends but you won't see me doing that every night. I like to go out in the garden and just lay in the grass but I guess you won't see me doing that everyday either. I like to get a beer and drink it by the river, or just listening to a new album sitting somewhere with a nice view, or just reading a nice book with a cup of tea by my side but yeah, not everyday. My dreamjob would be to write what I like to call Life Reviews. It's basically writing reviews but about the things you do in life, not only the amazing and fantastic stuff you do but also the ordinary stuff. Like a Review on Having a band. Studying Medicine. Going to a wedding. Going to a funeral. Getting the papers done for your new Citizen ID card. Wasting a whole afternoon watching crappy movies or on facebook. Building a raft. Riding a crowded bus on a hot day. Stuff like that, stuff that happens in life.
