Overview
About Me
Maria is from Belgium and I (Anton) from France, we're a couple of very happy travelers/musicians/street-performers and we enjoy a lot to meet people all around the world, play music, see amazing things and go crazy sometimes...
Actually we live in southwest of France in a quite remote place, we just bought a piece of land there (in fact a little hidden valley!) and we stay there with some friends, we have a lot of fun there gardening, building things and partying...
We really like to share with others and our plan for the future is to host people in a kind of artist residency, that we'll be a bit like paradise for us...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I discovered CS about 8 years ago, at this time I was traveling with my sister and a friend told us that it was the best way to meet people from the places we wanted to visit, we tried it for the first time in Brisbane and it was a kind of revelation, since then, we were hosted several times in Australia, Canada, US... and every times it was wonderful experiences to share with the people we met.
We also hosted many people in our flat in Toulouse and we took part at a few CS events like barbecues and even a Christmas party in New Zealand!
I can say that from the first time we went on the CS website, I discovered a new amazing way to meet people and share with others...
Interests
We both use to work with children, Maria with psychotics and autistics ones and me in holiday camps or in school camps during the winter season and we both like it very much.
In summer, we also tour with a street theatre show, here is our teaser if you want to see: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5lPDbtPKHI (I'm the ticfull architect...). A few more plays are in progress.
We also like to play music, to build strange things and to have fun in the nature.

Music, Movies, and Books
We can listen to pretty much everything from traditionnal music to weird hip hop as long as it's good, it's the same for movies...
I use to read novels (actually i enjoy a lot reading Tom Robbins books), Maria likes as well more "serious" stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We love to do crazy things...
The latest was surely in Lao, we rented a dodgy motorbike and after a few days in the Bolaven Plateau, we decided to try a hidden trail wich eventually appeared in our handwritten map... So here we are enjoying the ride on dusty paths until we had to cross a first river... than a quite large mud pool... Finally, we ended up crossing at least 7 rivers ( and I mean rivers, some were at least 200m long and 50cm deep) and huge mud pools for 11h to finish on a dusty dark road wich lasted forever without any light but our head torch. Eventually we survived...
Teach, Learn, Share
We're ready to learn everything from house building to secrets ninja recipes...
We can maybe help you if you want to learn something about french cooking, gardening, DIY or hiking in our area.
We'll love to share some musical moments or great discussions with anybody, and a glass of wine of course...
What I Can Share with Hosts
We live in a very quiet, remote place with a huge bunch of nature to discover, there are as well many cultural things to do around as many people in the surroundings like to have an alternative way of life away from the consumer society and like to organize workshops or parties.
