About Me
Hi folks!
I'm Paride, i was born in that beautiful island called Sicily about 25 years ago and after studying and working for about 6 years in Turin, north Italy, i decided to quit my job ( I.T. engineering consultant ) and travel throughout the world.
My life, in good and bad times, always turns around music, nature, cooking and friends..
I'm a sunny and extroverted person who likes talking with people, even or better if they are different from me. We have lots to learn from diversity!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about CS some years ago because some friends of mine were enthusiasts of this network but, for many reasons, i've never had the chance to host people or even surfing couches around...
Now my life' style is deeply changed and i'm fully ready to get the most out of CS! Since i decided to travel around the world i thought it would be more interesting to get in touch and meet local interesting people and getting faster into the place.
Moreover, even if we (me and my girlfriend Valentina) normally move in our little caravan, sometimes we want or we have to travel on the road, hitchhiking...so it's useful and funny being able to interact with this kind of open-minded-people-network!
Interests
I love both listening and playing music with my piano, guitar or, my last love, the tenor sax.
I really love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen....it's very relaxing for me. Obviously i better know how to cook italian stuff but i really get excited when i get in touch with others food traditions.
I also like to be surrounded by nature, don't mind if walking in a tree forest, swimming in the sea or working in the countryside...just nature in all of its shapes!
Other things i like are reading books, having meaningful conversations, sometimes hanging out with friends, i love dogs and animals in general, reading about researches on new technologies (overall the useful ones) and so on...
So....i've got many interests, sometimes maybe too much: probably i would sell my soul to the devil just to have the chance to go deep inside all of them!!! :P

Music, Movies, and Books
I love jazz music, especially Oscar Peterson, Lester Young, Stan Getz, Miles davis, Duke Ellington, Michel Petrucciani and so on...
Also Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, some Progressive Metal, italians old singers....
One of my favourite book authors is Herman Hesse and, even if i'm not very knowledgeable in the subject i like Woody Allen's movies (maybe for its jazzy themes :P )
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I QUITTED MY JOB ON MARCH 2014!!!
Trust me: it's truly amazing! ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Italian language, mathematics, the basics of Italian cooking and how to deal with computer-derived headaches.
I'm learning how to live fully, happy and sustainable.
I can share everything i know and i own. Sharing makes life worthy to be lived :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Beds, couches, computer, food, cigarettes and all the things they need to let them stay comfortable.
As i said before, the meaning of life is in sharing :D
