About Me

I am a bearded Mexican with big eyebrows. I studied modern languages mainly because I want to know people and places from all over the world. I like to learn something wherever I go (how to cook a dish, how to pronounce a word, how to blend in with the locals, or even where to find the cheapest beer in town (which is, in fact, the best way to blend in with locals)).

I am clean, organized, easygoing and adaptable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because I like to travel and I like to listen to the stories of other travelers. I want to see the world whether with my eyes or through someone else's memories and experience. Travelers must be united, isn't it?

Interests

I love languages and cultures. I like to read and watch movies. I write short stories and lately I'm trying to write a novel.

I like food, beer and I like to get lost. Probably if I had a better camera than my mobile I'd love to go out just to photograph things. If you give me enough time, I'd be able to draw a proper bad drawing of whatever you want. Finally, I like to learn something about everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, I love alternative, indie and rock, but I really enjoy any kind of music, from classical to hip-hop.

I really don't have a favorite movie or a favorite book, but generally I like them for having good stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm pretty sure I've done amazing things, but I can't think about any of them right now.

I watched the extended versions of the 3 Lord of the Rings movies in one sitting. Somehow that must be impressive, not the right kind of impressive, but ultimately impressive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am already a teacher, so I know how to teach languages and culture. Also, I worked with my university (when I was still studding) as a tourist guide for all the international visits that we had. That means that I know how to show my city.

I'd like to practice the languages that I already know, and I'd like to learn new languages. Also, it would be great to learn bits of your culture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mexican or Italian dishes. Lessons on Mexican culture. Spanish/Italian/English lessons. I am very easy to talk to. Probably I'll share my excitement too haha but I guess that's not something useful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, England, France, Italy, Spain
