About Me

Welcome
We have planned a refurbishment of the water and sewage system in our house this year. We do not want to arrange an exchange because we do not know the date of completion of the renovation. Let's postpone the exchange for the next year (2020).

About us

We are Ola and Staszek. We’ve been married for over 35 years. We raised two sons, who have just started their own families. Older son – a lawyer, lives in Warsaw, younger son – an electronics engineer, lives in  Cracow. We used to run our own business – a small electronic service workshop.
Travelling was always our hobby. We started off with touring around Bieszczady and eastern parts of Czechoslovakia (on a motorbike).
Our first longer trip was to Bulgaria (also on a motorbike – reliable Polish WSK). Then, almost every year further or closer we travelled around the whole Europe, and Morocco, Turkey, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, China, Israel. It’s quite a long list but still there are more countries to visit.
We prefer travelling on our own – no travel agencies. We’ve got hundreds of pictures, slides and videos that we made during our trips. We gathered many books, albums, guide books and magazines about countries and travelling. Sometimes we like to sit down by the fireplace and recall our journeys by looking at the pictures. We would be pleased to listen to stories of our guests. That would certainly be an inspiration for our future trips.
I’m not gay or lesbian, but good pople are welcome independently from the sexual orientation. We are very open minded couple. We love meeting new people. It is better to be in similar age.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in a hotel while traveling causes lack of contact with people. We watch landscapes, monuments, but we have no direct contact with the residents. CS Community is a group of people interested in the world. Contact with such people is a great opportunity to learn about customs, culture and exchange of experience.

Interests

My wife specializes in Indian food. We invite our guests to tasty breakfasts, lunches and dinners. They are also welcome to prepare the food for themselves.
Led by our fascination with the oriental culture, we have prepared a Relaxation Studio called Tantra. The scent of incense, the glare of Indian candles and magnificent Indian music listened to in a room inspired by Vishnu, Shiva, Sarasvati and beautiful Lakshmi with a flower of lotus in her hand are all perfect atmosphere for meditation and relaxation.

My first further journey: at age of 18, I went with a friend to Bulgaria on motorcycle. I met people with whom I still keep in touch. I fell in love with travelling and that’s how it has been ever since.
