About Me

One day, I woke up and I realized I was 31 years old and haven't been to anywhere significant. So I literally booked a ticket to a place I've always wanted to visit but never found the time for. I wasn't street-smart yet as far as traveling goes, and I ended up spending a lot more than what was necessary. But it was one of the best decisions I made in my life. That got me started.

Right now, I'm trying out a lot of new things before I get too old for them. And that includes signing up for a Couchsurfing account. ;)

Sorry if I can't accept guests for now. Long story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like many people, I would like to save on accommodation costs. (Edited to add: apparently a lot of potential hosts do not like to hear this, but it's better to be honest.) That's it, really. If I can form friendships with the people who will host me, then that would be a really good bonus. No need to roll out the red carpet. Conversations are good, and I'm willing to help with chores.

Interests

Traveling! I love to explore new places and learn about their history and culture.

I'm also something of a mountaineer, but I'm not as hardcore as most mountaineers are.

I used to blog about my travels but I've gotten busy and have since retired my travel blog.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to listen to various musical genres, but I find it hard to appreciate the music of these past 2 decades. I'm a great fan of Steely Dan.

As for movies and books, I take an escapist approach and as such, I lean more towards fantasy and science fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went paragliding in Pokhara, Nepal. I wish I to add more in this section in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

(I'm not really sure what to put in here, hehe.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dried mangoes from the Philippines. I haven't met anyone who didn't love our dried mangoes once he/she has tasted it..

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Taiwan, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Philippines
