I'm a twenty year old student from the Netherlands, majoring in Development Studies and Politics (although there are at least ten other subjects that I would love to study as well...). I try to understand a little bit more of the world every day by keeping my eyes open, travelling, talking to people, reading, learning and observing :) Right now I'm travelling in Canada, after finishing my exchange semester at Queen's University in Kingston and I've had an amazing trip so far!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

- I'm never done exploring and understanding the world, but I try - meeting cool people makes this a whole lot more interesting!

I've couch surfed for the first time in Victoria and had a great stay and I would love to continue travelling with couch surfing. I think it's a really cool way to meet locals and get to know a place a bit more from a local perspective! I like people to share their view on the world and topics that matter to them with me and do the same thing in return (also known as a good conversation :) ).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've WWOOFed at an organic farm close to Cobourg (ON, Canada) for three and a half weeks, which was an absolutely amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk about politics and current problems in the world (sustainability, food security etc) and what currently happens in the world. I'm interested in hearing other people's opinions about all sorts of different topics, so I'm totally up for interesting conversations! Also, I'm always curious where people went travelling, what they thought of a place and I love to get any tips on what could possibly be a destination for my next trip.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and bake, so I will definitely share that with a host :) Other than that, I clean up after myself and make sure to stick with the preferences/rules of the host.
