Hi everybody, My name is Jean-François, I am 24 years old. I have been studying in Strabourg for 6 years and then moved to the North of France in Saint-Quentin. After one year there I moved to the French Island of Mayotte near Madagascar. I am currently living here with my Spanish girlfriend Marina. I am physical education teacher at school (pupils between 10 and 18). Since a few years I started traveling during my holidays with my backpack. I deeply love nature that's why I love trekking and traveling with my own tent. On the other hand I love meeting people, sharing experiences, exchange about our cultures etc. Today I would say that traveling is part of my way of life.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To me couchsurfing is amazing for traveling alone... without never being alone ! It's a way to better discover a country by meeting its inhabitants. Also it allows sharing culture and having great moments. By hosting I want to help others and bring a bit of travel in my daily life. It will be a plaisir to make people discover where I live and give back all the kindness that I receive while traveling.
My Interests
As I said I love traveling, especially in the mountains or in remotes areas where there is mostly local people. Nevertheless I like discovering big cities as well. I love sport in general, I used to play tennis, badminton and rugby. I must say that I am a huge rugby fan ! I developed a strong interest in gardening/harvesting and especially permaculture thank's to wwoofing. I also link this with my passion of cooking and nutrition. To finish with I'm getting more and more into personal development such as meditation.
