One thing I've realized is that, at least for me, traveling is more fun when you're alone. I just like hopping on a plane and going to a different city without a companion. Still, friends are essential to great experiences. See the dilemma I'm having here? Therefore, I've found the perfect setup for traveling... Travel alone, and make new friends at wherever you're going. You meet new, different people. You see a new place without the restrictions of being with someone else. You get part-time friends to share awesome moments with at the place you're traveling. It's a pretty awesome combo if you ask me. And that, my friends, is exactly why I'm on Couchsurfing.
