About Me
My Name is Jéssica Christine Gonzalez de Camargo. With such a long name, where else could I come from but South America? Haha
I'm from Brazil, I live, study and work in São Paulo. I study Germanistik and I work as an English and German teacher, specially for beginners. Normally for people who work in German companies or people like us, who want to travel and be able to communicate with locals in their language.
Last year I made an exchange in Potsdam and it was the best thing that ever happened to me! I met so many amazing people. I made friends for life and I miss them like hell. Germany is a part of me, a part which I really love. On the way I have done some traveling, which became another part of me.
If Germany and traveling are important parts of me I couldn't left another important one out: I love to go out. Talk to people, drink, dance, sing. I may be a little shy in the beginning. It takes me a little time to feel comfortable, but I love it. That's why I also think CS is amazing for creating the possibility of organizing events to meet up with people from all over the world.
Have a nice day! 😁
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CS because I think it is a trustworthy tool when we want to stay at someone's place. Staying with a local is a lot more fun than being by ourselves. I mean, I like to travel by myself too, but there's a lot of cultural exchanges that we miss when we're traveling alone. And I love to socialize, so it's perfect really!
I also love the events on CS. It's a good change to meet other cultures and do fun stuff 😋
Interests
I'm interested in learning new cultures and people. And just have a good time ;)
- culture
- literature
- dancing
- beer
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to music all the time! I love music to wich I can dance with, so eletronic right now is the one kind I hear the most. But I like all kinds of music. I grew up listening to Queen, Radiohead, Nirvana, Alice in chains...
For movies I like drama and comedies better. My favorite movies are: Catch me if you can, Forrest gump, Grease, A vida é bela, Silence of the lambs...
My favorite book by far is from José Saramago "Ensaio sobre a cegueira" (or Blindness).
