Hi, I`m Miriam, 26 years old and I am a open minded social worker. I love travelling, meeting people and cultures from all over the world since I have been in America at the age of 16. Until now I travelled in a few countries in Europe, Africa, South East Asia and New Zealand. On my trip I would like to get to know local people and how life is in different places of the world.
I like having great conversations, going out together for dancing or to have some beers, I am always up for fun things, for sightseeing, getting lost, being in the nature, dancing, sports and making new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I experienced different ways of travelling on my trip through the world. There is the ability to stay in a hostel, where you get to know many people from all over the world who share the same passion - travelling- but you don't get to know the local people and the way they are living. There is sometimes the possibility to do a homestay when you are doing a tour and every time I had the opportunity to do so, I took it and never regret it. Couchsurfing is in a way a little bit of both opportunities: you get to know local people and of course in a way to local way of living and you share the same passion: the interest in travelling and different cultures.

Interests

My Interests besides travelling and getting to know new cultures, people and the way of living in different countries could also be named as hobbys I think. I love dancing Salsa which I did for five years and hopefully continue soon. I like the work with children and people in general that's why I chose to be a social worker. I love to be in the nature, doing sports such as hiking and biking and besides getting to know things about different cultures I would love to get to know more about working in the nature - maybe on a farm.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is no favorite musician that I have. It changes and it depends on the circumstances. I like spanish music for dancing, I often listen to the radio so that would be the charts (and that is what I am singing to when I`m driving in the car, that`s what maybe lots of people do). I also like piano music sometimes and regga so as you can see, it`s a mixture.
My favorite movie: that`s a hard one. I like Julia Roberts. I loved the Lord of the rings. But don`t watch too much television

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to highschool on the other side of the world, did skydiving and started a worldtrip with somebody I barely knew (met once before we started) and it works out.
