About Me

Hey there!
Rik here from Costa Rica. I'm 27 years old, Gay, Pastry Chef (great cook overall). I'm a very social guy so having people at home is always a good thing, I don't go out much (clubs or bars) but I love to go out for dinner or talk over some drinks (not big on alcohol either) LOL or a smoke!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've known about CS for a while now, but I wasn't able to host or travel before. Now I've had the opportunity to share my home with some amazing people (as a host) who have become friends. Now that I'm taking this trip to the US I hope I get the change to meet as many cities and people as I can.

Interests

I believe I'm a simple guy, I love to cook but its hard to cook for one so I'm used to sharing meals and hope to be able to do that with both Hosts and Guests. As you can see through my profile food is my passion so I'm really interested in learning new recipes from all over the world.
I love life under water, it can be a river, a lake or the ocean I will love it, visiting aquariums or such will make my inner-kid come out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think I like most of the things on the radio, hahahaha. I'm into indie, electronic, chill-out, soft rock, female voice type of music but really don't mind listening to anything.
Into movies a lot but it needs to be a good movie to keep me awake, meaning I don't always see the end of them as I'm usually sleep by then. I like animated/cartoons and scary movies... not so much into action or drama.
I don't read a lot but I've had read some really good books like Acid House, Tim Burton's poem books and some Paulo Cohelo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had my own business (bakery).
Started to travel on my own, one of the best things I've done and still do.
Swim with sea turtles in the sea (free/wild).

Teach, Learn, Share

I think just by meeting different people and been open to share in a respectful and open minded way we will always teach and learn something.
That is the awesome thing about CS, just by inviting/visit people you will always teach and learn much more than what you think!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a great cook and love to do it so you can expect me to take over your kitchen (if you let me of course).
I will help around the house.
I'm a clean person, follow rules and okay with hanging out or not.
I like to thank people by doing something nice for them before leaving, I'm a big believer that actions mean more than worlds and that people will most likely forget what you give them or do for them but they will never forget how you made them feel.
