I live in a sleepy little beach town with my amazing husband Brandon and our 1 year old son Skyler. I work from home primarily as a freelance journalist, but occasionally I get a fun, non-fiction project. I'm hoping to be a professional novelist someday. Brandon is a manger at a Fresh Market grocery store and has a home jewelry business. And Skyler, well, his primary occupations are learning to walk and finding new and interesting things to stick in his mouth. He's a sweet, well tempered baby that's rapidly evolving into a playful toddler.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have always wanted to travel, but it always seems to be just out of my reach. I want to see everything that's out there, and really experience local sights and cultures- not just hang out at a resort. My travel dreams have been put on hold because there always seems to be some other financial obligation. I'm hoping that my Couchsurfing, I can afford to travel, and meet interesting people who can help me really see everything.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: The Dresden Dolls, classic and alternative rock, country, and show tunes. Movies: I love all kinds of movies, and I'm a bit obsessed with horror, but the ones I could watch over and over are Silence of the Lambs, Nightmare Before Christmas, Moulin Rouge, American Beauty, Cabin in the Woods, Sucker Punch, and Stardust. Books: Harry Potter, and basically anything Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, Chuck Palahniuk, Anne Rice, and Stephen King have ever written.
My Interests
I have a passion for stories in all their forms, books, movies, folk tales, and everything in between. I also love video games, biking, swimming, fishing, rock climbing, and beach lounging.
