About Me
Hellooo I am a 27yo guy from the UK who has been lucky enough to travel to 33 countries and live in 5. I once met a girl who told me that I travel too much - settle down in one place, she said, that's how you grow. It made me think that there are different ways to grow - forwards, in a line, to a destination, or horizontally, across, discovering new things about yourself everywhere you go. I think I do that and I am happy for it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's fair to say that until I found CS I hadn't really found a "community" I felt part of. Ever since I attended my first CS event about 8 years ago I've been thinking about what makes CSs special - and I think it's the fact that the people are all super-independent and super curious, keen to discover and share and still finding themselves, so it's great for me.
Interests
Well traveling, obviously! I like to travel in weird neighborhoods in cities that most tourists wouldn't step foot in to get a sense of the city from the inside. What would it be like to live here and how different are people's lives here? I also love traveling around food and finding the best cheap eats in every city. I probably have a list of about 300 cheap eats from around the world lol I've been meaning to start a blog. I love street art as well and I seek it out in every city. When I'm at home I like films, documentaries, reading, and I'm getting super into spirituality, but don't get me started about that :D

Music, Movies, and Books
I like techno but also bands like tame impala, arcade fire. basically anything that is beautiful and takes you away. I like a lot of films but probably David Lynch, Andrey Tarkovsky, Charlie Kaufman, David Fincher would be some favorites. Books, I am reading a lot but probably Hermann Hesse and Doris Lessing are my favorite right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well thanks to Couchsurfing I was able through my host to befriend a bedouin tomato farmer in Jordan who gave us private access to the beach through his farm on the Dead Sea, so we were able to bathe in the Dead Sea completely alone. Then he invited us to dinner where he cooked in a pot outside an amazing tomato stew using his own tomatos, and we sat and talked and watched the sunset. That was almost too surreal to believe.
