Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love to travel but I don't like being a tourist. I like to learn from different cultures, I love to witness different ways of living, of thinking, of conceiving the world; that's what I travel for, not to show off, not to carry souvenirs, but to understand. I prefer to meet people in their real environment, in their everyday activities, I love to see what makes them laugh, what makes them cry, what's important for them and why. I love to share my experiences with them too. I love to tell stories from the places I've been in, of the things I do, of the way I see life.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love all kind of music, from Yann Tiersen and Philip Glass to Deftones and The Rolling Stones, with many, many artists in between. Movies: The Big Fish, Amelie, The Fight Club, Dead Poets Society. Almost anything that Alfonso Cuarón, Guy Ritchie and the Coen Brothers have ever done. Books: Farenheit 451, Blindness, The Name of the Rose, The Great Gatsby, The Kite Runner.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Quit the job I hated after doing the same thing for 6 years, start over from scratch doing what I love: movies.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learn to live lightly, like a feather, keep it simple and never stop asking questions. I also can teach you photography, video editing and how a taco should be properly made. I'd love to learn how to fish, how to sail, kayaking, languages and how to make craft beer.
What I Can Share With Hosts
My experiences, my native language (spanish), a gaze at Latin America and Mexico, our culture, our beliefs; a hug, a friendship and a good laugh.
My Interests
Photography, movies, music, books, dancing, also music, cycling and, did I mention music?
