About Me

Hi ! I'm a French 25 years old guy who loves to go out and talk with people. I was born in France and I have been living there all my life. I'm very open-minded and I love discover other countries and meet other people.

I just finished my studies, a bachelor to be a pressure vessel inspector. I also worked as a boilermaker for two years.

In September 2015, I have decided to leave France and to go in Australia. I have been there for 8 months. I have a Working Holiday Visa so I did a huge road trip all around Australia with my really nice campervan. Before that, I have visited several countries in Europe such as England, Spain, Italy, Turquey, Greece or Egypt.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did some HelpX while I was travelling around Australia. HelpX is an exchange in which you can work for a family and they give you food and accomodation. My best experience was in a family who is living close to Brisbane. They had a lovely little girl of 11 years old. I did painting, gardening and house keeping for them. They helped me to buy my campervan and to start my new life in Australia. They also included me as members of their family while I was with them. It was really nice to feel like at home and yet I was 20 000 km from my real home !

A french guy I met in Australia tell me how Couch Surfing can be nice as well so I would like to try it. For now, I didn't have any experience so I don't have references yet but you can find here below the reference that our HelpX wrote for me :
"Sebastian stayed with me for almost six weeks. I found him to be a lot of help around the home and very pleasant people. Sebastian helped me complete some trailer modifications. Everything from windows to washing and in the kitchen. He spent the majority of the time painting and did a fantastic job for us then gardening. He was great with our daughter Bonnie and I was comfortable to leave her in their care. He also cooked wonderful tasty low cost meals, the Salmon pasta and the putin were standouts. I happily recommend him to any hosts who want a hard working, friendly man who fit straight in with everything your family wants to do."

Interests

I like sports, especially rugby, I joined a rugby club in Dunkirk when I was a child but unfortunately I had to stop when I left for Australia...

I also like to go the cinema, I watch a lot of movies at home as well.
What I do a lot in Dunkirk is to go out in clubs and bars with my friends.

Finally, I love travelling of course. Meeting people is really nice. They can be crazy, welcoming or normal, it doesn't matter for me, the important is to share and learn something from each other.
