About Me
I started volunteering since November 2015 so I’m new to this world. I’ve been involved in some projects in order to fulfill children’s and women’s needs, but the meeting with a child from Syria who was running away from bombs made me feel the necessity to help marginalized people to gain their independence. Since then I started being involved in some Erasmus + projects and this was for me a chance to start doing something for real.Being a foreign language student I am keen to understand different cultural backgrounds. Although University doesn’t offer you the possibility to learn and practice everything , I started doing that on my own empowering and improving the knowledge I gained and making it richer – that’s why I started remote volunteering for SCOOP FOUNDATION, which helps Syrian kids to have a brighter future - .
I always try to be innovative to make people understand how important is to achieve a goal in life without sitting hours on a chair with an open book in front of you. I love to give different perspective of the same issue and find together through discussion the most suitable solution to a problem .
In my personal opinion being in your comfort zone doesn’t help you to learn, start travelling and see with your bare eyes what is around you could be something you can enjoy even if you didn’t know anything about it before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This experience can bring everyone closer, teach the value of giving even if you’re not receiving nothing in return and introduce skills and abilities never encountered, apart from memories. I would bring my heart, my sense of humor and my enthusiastic spirit. As I mentioned before improve yourself is something you need to do and raise funds to help a worthy cause gives you the chance to produce a measurable difference. Of course it is even a way to enrich yourself, discover your hidden talent, increase your self- confidence and explore career and personal interests.
Teach, Learn, Share
Through my intensive travelling experiences, I learned how important is to be flexible and make use of my own resources to overcome barriers and adapt to new environments.
