About Me

I am a biologist and an enthusiast traveler. I greatly enjoy discovering nature around me, and getting to know about other languages, cultures, food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking forward to make new friends, discover new places, and understand other perspectives on the world we live in.

Interests

I have always been atracted to natural sciences and exploring nature. I am somewhat bookish, and something of a field biologist too. I have done a little bit of hiking, mountaineering and cave exploring. I also enjoy learning languages, reading classical books, contemplating architecture, visiting museums... And food. I enjoy trying new food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a diverse taste in music. I am fond of classical and alternative rock, but I also enjoy a bit of metal, a bit of pop, a bit of folk... a bit of protest songs.

My favorite book genre is magical realism (Borges is one of my favourite authors), and I also read a lot of fantasy (I enjoyed Frankeinstein's monster, A song of ice and fire, The lord of the rings...). Also, one of my favourite books is Candide - I am thinking I have a big list of books to read

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of the most intense experiences I had were on a cave-exploring course. Rappeling close to a waterfall within a pit cave, or walking on a shallow underground river, which cut through rock with small marine fossils.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to practice languages with other people. And to talk about nature, science, the traditions of people. I have been called a good hiking companion more than once :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

The perspective and amazement of an outsider. If the chances arise, Mexican food :P

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, England, Germany, Greece
