Hi, my name is Chantal but you can call me Chan. I'm living in a small city called Witten in the Ruhr area in Germany. It is close to Bochum and Dortmund, but Witten has a lot to offer too. After I finished university in July 2019 I started my Around the World trip in September. I've already visited Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand and made amazing new friends from all over the world. (While you read this you know that I'm still traveling and that I'll be back in Germany around September 20, so you don't need to send me a request.) I love to travel and share my experiences with other travelers! It's nice to meet a lot of new people on a trip, to make friends, to learn more about the different cultures and the countries or just to have good talks.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
After school I lived 6 months in New Zealand, did a lot of volunteering there and made my first couchsurfing experiences. I've experienced that traveling is much more fun when you step out of your comfort zone and spend time with positive, friendly and open minded people. We can always learn from each other!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like to dance to electronic music or to classic songs from the 90's. Usually I listen to Singer-Songwriter stuff, Indie and Folkmusic but sometimes I'm interested in Hip-hop music or Metal. About movies and series I could talk for hours!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Getting my Open Water Diving license after drinking a lot of salt water and gasping for air

I like to have nice talks about life and stuff and you can find german culture everywhere in my small hometown

My biggest hobby is to play handball with my team and going out with the girls after a game.
