Overview
About Me
I've always considered the world as my village. For as far as I remember I've had a large interest in discovering the world and people from different cultures. I've had local friends with very different cultural backgrounds and penpals from different parts in the world. I've made many friends through cs so far.
I have lots of interests and I'm always eager to learn about new things that can broaden my perspective even more. As I'm quite social and energetic I like to show around my guests and talk and laugh together.
I'm independant, have a particular sense of humor. I like going out, cooking, gardening. I play a little music and I'm a photography enthusiast (mostly concerts)
I'm a flexanist (vegetarian-vegan). I'm not radical, in the sense that I wilI try to convert you :-D but when staying with me i'd like you to try some dishes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing to me is not about offering and looking for a free alternative to a hotel or hostel, but rather a way of connecting with locals (when travelling) and travellers (when at home).
I have no preference in hosting men or women. As a guy travelling solo myself I know how hard it can be to find a place to stay.
What else is Cs to me? I go to meetings, on occasion I organize one as well. I use Hangouts as well. If staying at your place or you staying at my place is not an option, we can still share a meal, teach each other something, have a stroll or a bike ride or a swim... So many possibilities.
Interests
I like to practise sports, like swimming, walking, biking, yoga...
Music is life to me, all kinds of music really (blues, jazz, soul, funk, rock and so many genres in 'world music' like samba, bossa nova, fado, celtic.... don't ask me for my favourite artist - it changes all the time)
I like arts in many forms: exhibitions, street art, theatre, poetry...
As all of us here, I guess, I'm a wanderer. I like travelling a lot but it's not really about the main tourist attractions. I'm much more interested in getting a glimpse of everyday life wherever I roam.
if you want to know more, I'm an open book. Just shoot your questions.

Music, Movies, and Books
Apart from trying to play the bluesharp I have a wide interest in all kinds of music, as mentioned above. There's too much to name and so much music I still want to discover.
I like non-blockbuster movies mainly: Into the Wild, Estomago, Coen brothers, Dardennes... to name some.
I try to read more but I'm failing constantly because of all the other interests competing for some of my free time
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I explored New South Wales for one month and fell in love with the area.
Last summer (2017) I made a solo bike trip for 4 weeks travelling a distance of 1700 km. It was a personal challenge, as I had absolutely no knowledge about fixing a bike and I had to rely on my own capabilities. See it as some kind of pilgrimage. I learned to get less frustrated when something goes wrong.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach each other our mother tongues. We can hang out together, cook together, share passion for music... I'm in for almost anything
