Overview
About Me
Welcome to read about us! we are Antonio and Ana, a spanish traveler couple. After almost 6 years traveling non stop with our camper van around Europe and Africa, we decided to travel as a backpackers as much as we can.
This profile hasn't been used in a long time, but Ana has been couchsurfing since 2009, when she lived in Madrid, organizing traveler meetups and hosting people when she could. I love the couchsurfing community!
You will not see our verified profile because I, Ana, come from the old couchsurfing philosophy of sharing freely, without economic interest, as this community has always worked for many years. If you are someone experienced in couch or have well-developed common sense, you will see by reading this profile that an economic verification is not necessary ;)
We decided to open this profile together because we travel together most of the time.
We are very calm people, as a couple we are lucky to be very similar and we really enjoy life together. We are passionate about learning about the culture of different countries from the hands of local people.
On our trips it is more important for us to connect with people than with landscapes. Sharing, knowing and learning are our travel mantras :)
If you host us, we promise many good conversations and tortilla de patatas (traditional Spanish dish)!
We expect from our hosts what they can offer, if there is time it is wonderful, if you can't, it is not a problem either, although we always prefer to be able to spend some time together to get to know each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2009 Ana opened her couchsurfing profile to travel from home. To receive people when I could, organize traveler meetings (how many interesting dinners I have had with so many people from around the world!) and to stay when I have traveled.
When I met Antonio and we decided to travel indefinitely with our campervan, we opened this profile to connect with local people from the countries we were visiting. We didn't need accommodation, we were just meeting people to share a coffee, a route or a dinner. It was wonderful :)
Now that we travel as backpackers, we look to stay or meet with local people to be in direct contact with the culture of the countries we visit.
Interests
We are open-minded people and respectful of beliefs and customs.
We do not like conflicts or tense or party environments. We prefer calm plans (in general...to be honest, if there is a party that is not out of control we will not say no, hehehe).
Antonio works as a computer programmer, but in a few months he will start building our house on the land we have bought on the beautiful island of Fuerteventura.
Ana works as a pianist and piano teacher, a dream I had since I was little. Being able to work with music makes me very happy!

Music, Movies, and Books
We listen to all kinds of music. Ana has music playing at home almost all day and the musical styles are infinite and very varied. From classical music (which is my specialty as a pianist) to flamenco, rock, Spanish pop, ethnic music...
For Antonio's films he is more action-oriented, both futuristic or science fiction.
And in books, Ana loves fantasy and detective books and Antonio prefers technical things that he likes to learn when reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Live without fear of change
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can offer the hosts good and varied conversation, cook some Spanish food, help you with something at home if you need it (we are very "handy" and we like to fix and build things on our own).
