Retired to a small fishing village, 1300 souls, 10 years ago. Hopkins, a drinking village with a fishing problem, as some have described it. Enjoy fishing, snorkeling, yoga but mostly hangin out with friends and chilin with a cold beer or two by the sea.. Will fill in the blanks to anyone who is interested. My house is 175 yards to the Caribbean. Nice beach, all to your own at times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I ma traveling to the southwest and then on to east cost US in July and August. Am looking for a reasonable place to stay in Taos for a few days in mid July. Also, always open to meeting new folks of a similar bent...so to speak...down here in Belize.

Music, Movies, and Books

Still pretty much stuck in 60's and 70's. Joni Mitchel, The Beatles, Neil Young, Dylan, The Band but also like some of the newer folk/blue grass coming out now Elephants Revival, Nickle Creek.
Movies- West Side Story to Cheech and Chong to As Good as it Gets to Big Lebowski...all over the place in other words.
Books, Cold Mountain, Been down so long it looks like up, Hemingway, Anne Lamott, Alice Hoffman, J.R.R.Tolkin. Eclectic tastes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did hitch hike across the US from DC to San Francisco in '69. Was amazing to me but lots of folks were doing it then.
