Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because for a student like me it's a cheapest and best way to travel. Finding a safe place to sleep in reasonable price is often very hard, and safety and respect are two most valuable things to me when it comes to going abroad. I believe it's a good place for people wanting to share something good with others, and thus it's a good place for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I'm a big fan of heavy sounds. I also like the folk music of western origin, such as japanese or chinese traditional or written in a similar manner songs (played on shamisen for an instance). Despite my preference, I'm very open to every genre (well, maybe not disco-polo, as I REALLY can't stand it even if I try), which is really helpful in my job. Ranging from classical music to hardcore techno, if it's good and catchy, I'll listen to it.

With movies, the situation is very similar. If I were to choose something to watch for an evening, I'd probably pick some fantasy movie (a superhero one!), a costume film or a facts-based drama.

My favourite books are - not very suprising - these about non-existing worlds. Sci-fi, fantasy, horror ones. Apart from that though, I'm a devoted reader of history books, as the history is a teacher of life. I used to read japanese manga graphic novels, as well as eastern comic books, but sadly I don't have much time for that now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've sailed through the Mediterranean Sea on a sailing ship, with going up to the top of the mast and doing stuff. Greatest adventure of my live so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some of a sound design, which is basically how to arrange your speakers, how to achieve optimal level of sound, how does it work in close spaces and such. If you want to play some guitar, we can try it too. Of course I can share with you some Polish words! And I'm really willing to learn any language that you can speak, with your native one being first on my list.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Help with domestic chores coming from my presence, an evening of a good laugh, knowledge about my country or any other topic I know something of. I'm often descibed as helpful (I'm a boy scout!), so don't be shy and ask me if you need my help in something.
