Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that it's the best way to get to know the country, that you're visiting.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like rock, mostly British, American and Polish from the 80's, Czech gothic rock (XIII. stoleti), sung poetry (Nohavica, Kaczmarski), folk, contemporary alternative and a bit of shitty contemporary pop. Somethimes even hip-hop. Wide range.
Movies - Polański (mainly old ones), Preminger, Wajda, movies with Louis de Funes, Czech cinema and some contemporaty Russian cinema and more. I'm not very into most of blockbusters.
When it comes to books... Unfortunatelly (?), I'm very much into Polish literature and poetry (Tuwim, Mickiewicz, Broniewski, Szczygieł, Szczerek, Twardoch, Krajewski and all this names with "-ski" or "-icz", that are almost unknown outside Poland). From foreign authors I like mostly Czech (Viewegh, Hrabal) and Russian (Bulgakov, Okudzava). Genres that I like - reportage (Detroit: An American Autopshy; by Charlie LeDuff), fiction, historical.
