About Me

Hi there, it's Lucía! I'm a Spanish girl who lives in a small city named Albacete. After spending five wonderful years in Valencia, I've moved back to my hometown where I'm working as an English teacher.

About me, I'm friendly and easy going and I love to communicate and express myself in many languages! I always enjoy good conversations about anything.

Moreover, I must admit I'd like to travel more than I actually do, being one of my dreams visiting Japan and doing a road trip all over South America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why did I decide to become couchsurfer? Well, I think there are no excuses for travelling (e.g. money, time, lack of people willing to do some trip or all of them at the same time) or just visiting new places in your own country, and thanks to this social network those impediments can be avoided.

If you are you coming to Albacete, don't hesitate to contact me. It will be a pleasure to welcome you in this lovely place. Here you will find plenty of sun, great food and nice people. What else do you need?

Music, Movies, and Books

There's a long list, almost impossible to compile over here but there I go.

Regarding music, I can't live without a good playlist. I love classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin or The Doors but I also enjoy dancing in the best clubs of electronic music. Besides, I play the ukulele (I try it).

Cinemagoer since my adolescence, I enjoy watching films whenever I can. And yes, I do love Star Wars!

Two of my favourite books are "1984" by George Orwell and "The Catcher in the Rye" by J. D. Salinger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best experience I have had was, unexpectedly, when forty people from many different nationalities gathered around a guy and his acoustic guitar. We spent the whole night playing and singing reggae music in the streets of Brixton, London. This may doesn't sound that amazing but for me it was very special because it was on my 25th birthday. It's wonderful thinking how music can join such different people!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new things every day, curiosity is a childhood's gift that we cannot afford to miss.

I'm a language freak! If you are looking for someone whom to learn any language, I can exchange with you my English and Spanish. In my case, I would like to improve my French and Portuguese. Furthermore, something as simple like having fun is also a cool thing to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share with you my traditions, food, language and experiences and I expect the same from you.
