About Me

I'm just an average person with an insatiable curiosity about the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on a small budget this year, but I don't want to sacrifice travel. I believe the best way to learn is to immerse oneself in the experience.

Interests

My biggest interest is learning! I believe that there's something to be learned from every person I meet, place I see, and experience I have. There's just so much to learn and experience about the world and I intend to soak as much of it up as I can before I expire.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most types of music - blues, hip-hop, trap, pop, edm - I'm open to it all. Music is the heartbeat of the soul.

I can't usually sit still long enough to watch a movie, but I do love to listen to audio books while doing other activities. Mostly prize winning fiction, politics, and history. When I sit down to read, I like to curl up with something useful like books on fermenting or making things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Years before people began to talk about tiny houses, I reduced most of my belongings and moved into a tiny, mostly self contained cabin in the woods. It was an adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do like to knit, felt, crochet, and also spin. I have a small spindle that I can teach others to use. I recently spent an entire afternoon teaching a group of children how to use a spinning wheel during National Alpaca Week. It was so much fun to watch their delight in creating something new!
