Overview
About Me
My name is Márti (like Marty McFly from back to the future if that helps with the pronunciation). I am a full time uni student, working on my Master's in Gender Studies, part time translator, and if that leaves me with any free time I try to be a person and have fun as well. 😀 I just love live music, so most of the times you can find me at a concert of one of my favourite bans.
I live in Budapest, but any time I have some extra money or free time, I love travelling to meet some beautiful international friends I already have and makes some new in the meantime.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel and experience more, I want to meet new people who are fun to hangout with and we can talk about life, the universe and everything for hours. I wish I could host some people too but I am renting my place, so it isn't really an option right now - but when I have my own place I will update this 😀
Interests
I think I'm mostly interested in people and their stories.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love everything sci-fi and eighties. I'm a huge Whovian and Potterhead. I love reading, I wish I had some more time to do it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I backpacked in mainland China with a friend for a month, we've been to a traditional wedding, travelled in trucks, and got to see a lot of the countryside. 😊
One time I crowdsurfed into a crowd of two people at a Chinese death metal concert, that was fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make Hungarian cuisine, my culture, some useful phrases if you're into that. In Budapest, I can show you around the best placest
What I Can Share with Hosts
My enthusiasm and very bad jokes. I can also make some mean brownies or chocolate chip cookies or Hungarian pancakes!
