Overview
About Me
Inhabitants of this wide world, born in Mexico and Venezuela, respectivelly, and settled in Madrid since 2008.
As migrants we flowed with a global diaspora that is part of a new vibrant, sometimes overwhalming, transnational lifestyle. As contradictory as it is, we love melancholy, yet the exciting discoveries and surprises this brings.
We like to fantasize, and also analyze, about the wonders of human diversity and different ways of inhabit the world. We keep asking ourselves 'why' time and again till something else catches our attention. We are also playful about our identity and pretty much everything else!
We like to have fun on a daily base by learning new things and getting to know new people, cultures and ways of life.
David also loves photography, Hilda dancing and our common passion is music! We are giving it a try to learn selfthaught guitar right know! So we'd appreciate any tip from travelers ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Exchange, grow and amaze ourselves with the different points of views, lifestyle and cultures is our real drive.
We think that an evergrowing conscience of the real value of each others as beings (human, vegetables, etc) needs to be build up by the way we relate and act upon this earth. So, why not starting by demolishing stereotypes and really geeting to know each other hanging around and chatting in every single oportunity we have?
Also we see the 'real vibe' of any given place is it's people. Beyond sightseen tours (we are alergic to those!), selfie poses on the touristy places and boring consumption circuits we are more into sharing experiencies and thoughs with the locals and get to know their history (and therefore their home's) on first person.
Responsible and human visits beyond 'touristy' consumption attitudes is our motto!

Music, Movies, and Books
It's a neverending list! come and learn from yourself ;)
Just a clue: we recently screened 'The weeping camel' and 'The Yes Men Are Revolting' on a nearby local. David is a lot into SCI-FI and Hilda into socio-anthropological documentaries and independent movies.
We both love electronic and some folk and 'world' music.
Currently reading a book about the History of Anarchism.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making out in a trash storage, jumping from a flaming bus (Hilda), travelling 20 hours in a row on a train -and survive!- (David)... and so on.
Teach, Learn, Share
We love cooking! So if you drop by and time allows us we can teach you to cook some mexican, chinesse, venezuelan or spanish dishes... most of it vegetarians.
Hilda is also a lot into yoga, so if you want to stretch and relax she can teach some yoga sun salutations.
We are crazy about cycling. So we can also share a nice bicicle ride around the hood, the river and finish with a great sunset gazing on Templo de Debod.
