Overview
About Me
Hey, I am Markus. I am 20 years old, after school i went to New Zealand for about a year and had a little detour to Asia on my way back. Home again i applied for a zookeeping apprenticeship and actually got it. Since i had quite a lot of time before it would start i squeezed in 3 month voluntary work in a dog shelter in Tanzania. Now i have to get used to staying in one place for a longer period of time again, but i think with a job where you are surrounded by animals that wont be to hard :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet some locals and make new friends. But most of all to experience traveling from an other perspective then hostels or campgrounds. I want to see the real daily life of the people in the countries I visit.
And once im all settled I look forward to hosting people myself.
Interests
I like hiking, biking, skiing and basicly everything out in nature. Nature and all the animals in it just fascinate me everytime again. I am also really interested in the human psychology
Music, Movies, and Books
Blues, Rock, Electro, all kinds of books really, but at the moment mostly real life storys
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently I saw a star explode, it just lit up really bright all of a sudden and then it was gone
Teach, Learn, Share
I think there is something to learn from every person, even when you seemingly dont share any interests or think you can not relate to their hobbies or way of living at all. When you ask the right questions and just have a civil discussion you may be surprised what wisdom every single person has to offer
What I Can Share with Hosts
Too be honest mainly conversations I think.
