I get excited over the simplest of things! My husband says I get excited over a blade of grass growing! This is how I live my life! I do know how to slow down and relax though! On a hammock would be my preference! I'm a beach bum at heart having been raised by the ocean but am ready to explore new cultures, activities, and see what else is out there in the world! I'm fun and love to play and laugh! I love communicating - written or verbally! You always know where you stand with me. I am very open and genuine and I see the good in everybody!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to build relationships with like minded people that share my wanderlust for travel! I also want to live my life out loud and have no regrets!

I love meeting people from different backgrounds and interests. I want to learn more about you, your culture, your life story! What makes you you!

I also want to take my daughter on the pilgrimage of Camino de Santiago! If anybody reading this has traveled that path I'd love to hear your story!

Interests

I'm currently training to swim (relay) in the St. George Ironman and the 2019 Alcatraz Sharkfest 🦈! I love surfing but haven't in years, snorkeling in Hawaii where I used to live on the North Shore, wakeboarding, kayaking, being in any body of water preferably the ocean but I also love rivers, creeks and lakes. We kayak every week at a lake near our house for at least 6 months out of the year! I love being outdoors, camping, hiking, reading, Journaling, spending time with great friends and my family! I also love playing strategy board games, cards, and get-together games. My fav is Settlers of Catan!

I love romantic comedies, drama, action and mystery/thriller movies. No horror except The Walking Dead = I love it! Well that's TV so I'll go there - I love The Americans, The Man in the High Castle, Sneaky Pete, Bosch, Dexter, The Good Wife, The Big Bang Theory, Happy Endings, New Girl, The Five, Poldark, Goldbergs, A Million Little Things, Homeland, This Is Us, Cougar Town, Ozark, Criminal Minds, etc.

I can teach you how to scrapbook, or photo journal. I would love to learn how to play the guitar! I love sharing my life experiences and learning about others. I invest my time and heart in everybody I meet and build a rapport with.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you a clean comfy queen size bed in our guest bedroom, respect, suggestions on where to hike such as in Lava Caves in Snow Canyon State Park, Zion National Park, Red Cliffs, and possibly go with you if you'd like depending on my endurance. I am still recovering from brain surgery (10/16). I woke with hemiparesthesia (burning on my entire right side 24/7) and still have not quite built my endurance back up. We are also 3 miles from The Tuacahn for the Performing Arts Amphitheatre where live outdoor concerts/plays take place surrounded by gorgeous red rock all around you!
