About Me
Hi I'm Megan
I left Australia in 2015 for South Korea where I was an English teacher until 2017 - I used my time to travel around East Asia. When I left Korea I travelled to South America, Europe and am currently located in the UK for the foreseeable future.
I enjoy getting to know other like minded wanderers and hearing all about their stories. I like hiking, history, food, and music.
I write and take pictures when I am on the road.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about Couchsurfing from many people that I met on my travels but was always too scared to try it, but here I am. I wanted a way to keep travelling and meeting people without having to go to expensive and 'trendy' hostels.
My hope is when I have a home I'll be able to give back and offer the same experience in my exciting corner of the world, wherever that may be.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love metal music. I also have rather eclectic taste so I am happy to listen to just about anything so long as it isn't country.
Movies: Historical Drama is my jam. I've got the cinematic interest of a 60 year old woman.
Books: I'll read just about anything, and I have read some doozies. I prefer Historical Fiction, or a plain old history book. I enjoy; Ken Follet, Phillipa Gregory, Alison Weir and the classics too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This year I hiked the Inca Trail which I always thought would be challenging but I never imagined that the physicality of it combined with altitude would be such a mental feat.
I also dived with the hammer head sharks in the Galapagos which was unreal!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories of my adventures, travelling tips (I keep a blog and a detailed journal so anything you need to know, I got you). I have excellent googling skills and general research. I used to be a travel agent so I know a lot about airlines, airport codes and flight paths.
I'm also a wicked cook so I can whip you up a Sri Lankan curry, Italian pasta, Korean BBQ, or Steak with peppercorn sauce.
