One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One year ago I quitted my job to embark on my spiritual journey. It was a difficult decision for me since I had been living in Japan for 9 years and only one year left to the permanent residence. Yet, future starts from "now".

Over a year, I joined several meditation retreats: Middle Way (crystal ball visualization) meditation in Thailand for 4 days, Analyze - Visualization meditation based on Tibetan Buddhism guide in Nepal for 3 weeks, and a 10-day Vipassana course in Vietnam. The retreats indeed helped me learn how to be mindful of every action, every thought, every speech, find happiness, and equanimity right in the present regardless of any external condition. I've never experienced such a peaceful state of mind before. Back to daily life, although it's very hard to keep up that state, these experiences really changed how I see/react to things. I'm still very new to meditation but would love to share for those who are in need and learn from others as well.
