The About Me section is always hardest for me to fill out! Here goes... I am a life coach, speaker and workshop facilitator. I resigned from my position as Director of Alumni Relations with my alma mater at CUNY, which I held for 6 years, after graduating with a Masters of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I left it all behind to go out and explore the world, by myself, having never been much of a traveler. My passions in life include: empowering others to go for what they need in life, to push back fears, clear mental blockages and utilize all of their available resources. I love to help others get developed both professionally and personally. I too am on the on-going journey of progressing in my own life and I get a kick out of having new experiences, learning, growing and Punching Fear in the Face! I am a high-energy person that loves to love :) I love 'giving back' and volunteering my time and talents. I love the word of God and studying the many depths of it. Basically, I'm a nerd :)

I love to meet new people from different parts of the world but more than that, I like to share that which I have been blessed with. I love hospitality and the chance to be warm and welcoming to a traveler. On the other end of that, I have embarked on my first solo trip around the world. I want to meet locals and get a more immersive cultural experience for all of the places I plan to travel to. I'm also couchsurfing to open myself up to more personal interactions, to push past my comfort zones and engage with people instead of avoiding them with my somewhat shy disposition :)

Books: I tend to read more self-help books than any other since I love to find ways to help others as well as to develop myself. I read the Bible pretty often as it is part of my ever evolving relationship with God. Some of my favorite books include: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie; Lean In: Women, Work & the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg; The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho; The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz; The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas; Outliers and The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell; The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel; The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis; Jane Eyre

Music: I LOVE music! One of my biggest passions! I love all types of music- I can groove to anything :) My fave is R&B/Soul and to dance to: Hip Hop. Love just about every genre. I also love to sing and dance (though singing is NOT my talent:))

Movies: I love movies! (I love a lot of things right?) I love comedies, action, suspense, documentaries, romantic comedies, drama. I don't particularly care for scary horror movies :( Some of my faves include: Scent of a Woman, Bronx Tale, Good Fellas, Amadeus, Count of Monte Cristo, Dumb & Dumber, Austin Powers movies, The Notebook.

Ran the NYC Marathon (yes, all 26.2 miles of it). I found this amazing since I am not a runner and I ran with some physical problems which meant I was in pain for the better part of it. It took me 6 1/2 hours to complete.

I love to teach on a variety of topics like: professional development, communication, relationships, spirituality, overcoming obstacles, culinary arts, parenting, money management and love. To learn: I'd like to try my hand at stand-up comedy :)
