Resumen
Sobre mí
My name is Pedro Carvalho, I am 22 years Brazilian young graduate from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro that had work and study for the last 4 years and now it's throwing himself in an adventure through South America hoping to get the time of my life!
Born in the countryside of Brazil, I always love to travel, meet new people, enjoy beautiful places and know about the different cultures and ways of life around the world. Nowadays, I live in Rio de Janeiro, sharing an apartment with two college mates, but as I have recently finished my graduation on Defense and International Estrategic Administration, I want to go on an adventure to meet new people and places, improve my skills and abilities, also seeking self-development and wisdom through learning with others.
I am a very easy-going person, calm, organize, and friend. I am responsible and respectful with everything and everyone, being a compassionate and caring person, adventurous, patient, eager to learn and share with others.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I am here at Couchsurfing to meet people, make friends in different cities and see how are their daily lives, to know more about their culture by being inserted in their houses and families. Also, of course, I am here because I want to save as much money as I can during my trip around Latin America, but this is not the sole purpose.
The main reason for being here is the same as doing this backpacking: seeing and meeting places and people, learning from them and sharing what I know and have with them.

Música, películas y libros
I absolutely love RAP, rock and heavy metal, but only the classical ones as Rush, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and so on. In fact, I like all kinds of music, from jazz to reggae. My favourite bands/singers are Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley, Rush, Kendrick Lamar and some Brazilian artists.
I know how to play drums and piano, but it's has been a long time that I don't practice both, unfortunately.
About movies and books: you can call me a geek or a nerd guy :) I read Japanese mangas and watch animes as much I read comic books, HQ's and, see series and movies from DC/Marvel, as well as am a huge fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones and all those kind of movies.
Algo increíble que he hecho
My first international experience, that was an exchange trip to New Zealand when I was 16 years and did half of my middle school abroad, in the great city of Auckland. This exchange gave me the opportunity of knowing young people from all around the world and learn with them, which I found great joy and, since then, I always look for chances to know more people willing to share their experience, their culture and knowledge.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I am glad to have had several opportunities to learn and share knowledge, culture, and values with people from differents places, which have made me grow and development myself as a conscious human being, aware of the problems that affect our society. Since I was blessed with this privilege, I believe that it's my "duty" to help and teach others that don't have the same background as me, trying at any cost to change the environment around me in a way that everyone can have the same opportunities that I had, making a difference in the world.
I have worked in AIESEC, an international non-governmental organization that stimulates the sense of leadership and promotes young international exchange. In this NGO, I also had the opportunity to meet more people from differents places and to learn about team work, social impact and collective contribution to society. Also, I have participated in volunteer services and initiatives at University, being once elected to the academic directory as financial director.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I can share my Brazilian culture! Which includes cooking traditional meals from my country, teaching how to dance samba or funk (although I love those all kind of dancing rhythms, I am not a very good dancer), preparing drinks like "caipirinha" (famous alcoholic drink) and being very fun and talkative.
