Hi! We’re a couple from St. Petersburg - Dima and Sasha. We’re graduating from University. Sasha’s studying Russian language and Literature, and I’m on my way to become film director shooting both documentaries and feature films.

We love to travel ve-e-ery much. Separately, we’ve visited almost all European countries: Czech Republic, Poland, France, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Estonia, and many more. Obviously, we’ve traveled a little across Russia too. For example, we were in Murmansk, Norilsk, Chita, Kazan, Volgograd, on Lake Baikal.

This is going to be our first time on Couchsurfing so we’re eager to go on a trip :)

Most of all we like having walks in the Old City studying historical architecture, visiting art galleries and museums, as well as eating local food and drinking local beer. And of course the greatest part of our trips is meeting new people from around the world and learning about their cultures.
Sasha is fluent in English. I'm studying it.

Music, Movies, and Books

In our free time, we read aloud books to each other or watch films. Most of all we love Russian literature including modern one which we’ll be happy to discuss with you if you like. As for films, basically, we choose films by directors. We love Scorsese, Tarkovsky, Antonioni, Tarantino, P.T. Anderson, Haneke and Zvyagintsev.

We love different types of music. But most of all classic rock and blues: The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Janice Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zepelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival.
We also love jazz, funkt and R&B.
