About Me

We are a band traveling the country and often needing a place to stay. We'd love to invite you to our show as our guest. We all travel with air mattresses and sleeping bags so if you don't have enough sleeping surfaces for us we will be fine! We are all neat and clean and friendly and love to hang out. We've been booking couchsurfing on our manager's profile, so you can check out our references there: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/kathie-russell-2

Since we each don't have our own profiles here, we are including our facebook pages:

https://www.facebook.com/sarahshookandthedisarmers/ (band page)

https://www.facebook.com/sarah.m.shook (Sarah)

https://www.facebook.com/eric.peterson.129142 (Eric, guitar player)

https://www.facebook.com/aaron.oliva (Aaron, bass player)

https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=phil%20sullivan (Phil, pedal steel player)

Our drummer, Kevin McClain, has sworn off of social media for awhile so he doesn't have a profile, but you can read a little about him here from the band he played with before he joined us: https://showsigoto.com/american-aquarium-interview/

We also sometimes travel with our tour manager, Zac, or our manager, Kathie.

We are also happy to host anyone any time, you can send requests here or to Kathie's profile page.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Road tripping, making music, meeting new friends and having thoughtful conversations. We would love to have you at our show as our guest. We also love learning about the towns and cities we visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

We all have varying tastes in music and have enough time to listen to it all while driving between states. You are bound to have a favorite band in common with at least one member of the group.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We tour the country for half the days out of a year. Last September we drove the van cross country for a West Coast tour. We spent 32 days touring in Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and Denmark) in May and June, and two weeks in Europe (Netherlands, London, France and Spain) in November. All of the people were amazing and we were astounded when they all knew the words to our songs and sang along!
