My name is Manolo and I’m from Oaxaca, born and raised. After traveling and living around the globe for a while, I discovered that life is full of amazing people who love traveling as much as I do.

I try to travel at least one time a year, discover new cultures, meet locals and discover non-touristic places, which for me is the most valuable way to enjoy a place.

Meeting new people makes me feel that I am still traveling in my own city.

Music and art in general are an important part of my life. I like to make collages. I also like to make music and sometimes I play with a zapoteca band, who together we are trying to promote our background.

Favorite Music: I like punk rock music, heavy metal, techno music, and mexican traditional music, for instance José Alfredo Jimenez.

Favorite movies: I like thrillers, travel movies and comedies, I kinda like horror movies.

Favorite Books: I like novels, such as, Mean streak by Sandra Brown, Querido Papá by Danielle Steel, La hija de la fortuna by Isabel Allende, Hacia la Fundacion by Isaac Asimov, Wir Wachen Das by Holger Michel, The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I was broke so I decided to take all my paintings on the street and exhibit them, I didn't think I was gonna sell any but... not even kidding, I sold them all.
