Hey All ,

I am Onur moved to Athens/Greece couple of months ago from İzmir / Turkey. I am a person who is a extrovert , social person. You can understand why I became like this if you read further. On the other hand , I am a sincere person who likes honesty . I do not like formal conversations that people feels unconfortable. My personality is grounded on a character which seeks for development all the time. Therefore, I try to meet as many people as possible and try to visit as many places as I can.

-Proffessional Background-

Now I am working in an international company as an IT guy for the biggest phone brand in the world. My workdays are 5 days in a week. I have one day weekday day off and one at the weekend. Working 8 hours in a day so if I do not have any plans, I can guide you for any kind of activities in the city.

I have worked for 8 years professionally in Trade planning and Marketing Specialist, Category Manager, Business Development Manager and Purchasing Specialist jobs. I have studied Business Administration as a major and Logistics Management as a double major at the same time I got a certicifate from Retail Management course which was cooperated with Tesco. While I was working I did my Executive MBA

-Social Background-
I started to play badminton when I was in primary school and lasted for 11 years with professional license. I played several years in National Badminton Team , won gold madal in Turkish Championship and also silver madal in Balkan Championship.

In university I was a member of student platform called AIESEC, in reception team which was dealing with international students' every kind of needs. I also did volunteer internship in drug addict rehabilitation center called MONAR in Gdansk/Poland as well as in a center for homeless people in Warsaw/Poland for nearly 3 months.

I started dancing latin (salsa, bachata,cha cha cha,merangue) in University and it became my passion. I have been dancing for 8 years, competed and did lots of shows. Now I am a member of a professional show dance group in Athens . We are preparing a show for the festivals. Our school is called La timba, you can check it out ;) When I was in Turkey I was also giving latin dance classes as an assistant so you are more than welcome if you want to try.

On the other hand in summers I was working in different jobs. One of them was being lifeguard in an aquapark (Adaland / Kusadası TURKEY) , another one was an animator job in one of the hotels in Kusadası , moreover in some bars and restaurants.

I like to create new things in an innovative way. Another hobby of mine is wood art and nowadays I am dealing with a project , may be you can see when you are here :) I have made lamps by using wood when I was in Turkey.

In my spare times I do like to play guitar and sing with friends. I am not a professional but it is enough to have fun :)

I do like cooking , I can cook some traditional dishes we have also would like to learn from you.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

As I mentioned above I love to meet with new people which helps me widen my way of thinking about the world and everything. Every person is a different door for new ideas and perspective. I used to host people arround world before with my flatmate so I do have enough experience about hosting and this platform. I had to open a new account since I moved to another country and left our account to my flatmate unfortunatelly.

Música, películas y libros

I do not have specific music choice , anything sounds good I like. Of course I am dancing latin I am hearing this music in my rehearsals a lot :) I like science fiction or fantastic movies or else it can be a movie which makes you surprise at the end. I am sure you know what I mean ;) Rather than books I am reading so many articles or news for my interests to be honest. If I have time I like to read again puzzling books or the same kinds I like for the movies.

In my first year of the university I had a courage to go abroad for the first time in my life. I worked in drug addict rehab center and it was an amazing experience for me to work volunteerly there and heard and experienced so many stories that I should tell you face to face :)

I can latin dance if you are into it. There is a latin club near my flat so we can go and practice there too ;)
If you want to try badminton of course I would love to play with you anywhere. I would love to learn which lenguage you talk, your culture and of course the traditional dishes you have. If you are interested in art we have so many things to share and talk :)

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I have a two person couch in my living room which is pretty comfortable. We will be sharing kitchen, bathroom and of course biiiig balcony together.
