Overview
About Me
I grew up in Houston, Texas and then in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I later moved to Maine (for college) and Berkeley, California (for graduate school). Traveling has always been an important part of my life. It was only natural I fell in love with social anthropology and decided to work as a professor and researcher. An ongoing theme of my work was social movements , communities and social transformation.
I have 2 adult daughters.
Spirituality, more specifically, Eastern non dual traditions are of great interest to me.
I love outdoor activities, music, the arts, reading, movies, conversations with friends.
I am interested in traditional and complementary healing practices, agroforestry, sustainable living and intentional communities.
