About Me

Servus und griaß di! This is Carlos, I am a spanish student who's been living in Munich for around a year and a half and studying at the LMU University (and living the German Dream if you can say so). I live by the philosophy that a life lived to the top is that one in which one learns and trains as much as possible and use this to be open and ready for amazing new experiences! That is why I love learning new languages and skills, doing sports and meeting people of all over the world. As I always say, there's nothing you cannot do, only things you still haven't learned to do!

So far I have had the opportunity of living away from my home in three different countries: Spain, Canada and Germany. From every one I have learned new forms and perspectives of life: from high-tech societies focused in development of cutting edge technologies through alternative lifestyles to relaxing moments at by the coast with a glass of wine (or sangria). Every one of them enriches you in a certain way and makes you more aware of yourself and the world that surrounds you. As I have become somehow addict to this feeling, I would love to keep going!

My aim now is to travel around Germany and central Europe, but with the time I would love to expand my horizons further away. The world is never too small!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Growing up in a small town in the south of Spain, it is kinda difficult to get your butt into other countries and cultures, and to get to know people from over the world. But now that I live in Germany the situation is very different!

When I travel I do not like to do it in a "safety bubble"; I like to meet the locals and go and do whatever they do (wherever you go, do what you see // Allá donde fueres haz lo que vieres). This is why I joined Couchsurfing, as it provides this possibility that other conventional ways of travelling do not.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When Spain won the World Cup back in 2010, I was living in Canada: me and my colleagues celebrated so hard that we appeared the next day in the front page of the local newspaper

Teach, Learn, Share

I will always be glad to teach you Spanish, or some German too (though I am not a native speaker). I can also teach you to play Bass Guitar and help you with computer stuff too (I am a little bit computer nerd) I also love to sing! Sharing songs with the locals is one of my favorite activities when traveling.

Apart from that I am always open to share whatever the moment provides at that very moment!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everyone said spanish omelette a.k.a. "Tortilla de patatas"? Apart from that I also know many other nice recipes that I can gladly show you.

Also if you are into running, one thing I love to do is wake up early, put my trainers on and go explore the city! And if there are bikes involved, weeeell boy we are talking about things & stuff.
