About Me

I’m a High School student whose life was transformed a few years ago by a simple insight, that boring school readings aren’t the only books out there. Since then, I’m really into self-development and broadening my horizons.

I’m a fan of physical activity. I play football in a club on a daily basis, but also love skiing and would definitely try other extreme sports - especially surfing.

I’m positive and hard to offend person. I like good debate - always with lots of humour. I’m interested in Math, Computer Science and Economics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just got to know about couchsurfing and probably, similarly to everybody else reading this, I absolutely love the idea behind it. Free overnight stay of course is great, but meeting new people, getting to know new culture and seeing places off the beaten track is something no other accommodation can give. That's why I'd love to join CS community.

Unfortunately, I'm still in High School and live with parents (parent to be precise) so I can't yet host anybody. It will definitely change in a year from now, when I begin my undergraduate studies( or whatever I’ll be doing then).

Music, Movies, and Books

I've listened to almost every main genre - from rap through rock to jazz and classical music - and I don't have a single favourite. Every kind has its own intention and influence as well as something interesting in it and this diversity is what I like the most.

I mostly read non-fiction books. Many of them taught me a valuable skill, but the one, that had the biggest impact was "The Power of Now". That's a pretty hard spiritual book. I do not agree with every idea in it, I also do not understand all of it, nevertheless parts that I have implemented in my life changed it for better. I've become much more positive, calm, grateful and happy person and I'm really thankful, that I had the opportunity to transform my life this way.

I don't know bout movies but I do have favourite series. I haven't watched to many of them, but Game of Thrones is by far my fav and I think I don't have to provide any explanation for that ;) If it comes to non-fiction Dirty Money on Netflix is a really good documentary about... money, frauds , etc., and I look forward to next episodes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love skiing and I do it pretty well, but two thinks usually bothered me in this sport 1. Quality of slopes in Poland a few years ago 2. I usually was freezing after a few hours… but once upon a time my family decided to go to the Italy. Now imagine this: Having got to the highest station, you look down and see all those beautiful, snow-capped mountains beneath you. You take a deep breath, standing still for a long moment to fully appreciate the astounding beauty of this place, feeling this nice, warm sun on your back. Everything seems just perfect. Then you turn around, make a few clumsy moves to move forward and perfectly prepared, 8km long, red/black slope emerges from beneath. Just one more breath and here we go, that lovely breeze on the face, that mesmerising rustle and for what seems like forever, nothing else matters.
