Overview
About Me
I, Anne-Laure (call me Anne!) and my partner, Willy, have been travelling in New-Zealand for 2 months (lots of nights in a tent, some in backpackers and Airbnbs) and are now going to Australia for another 2 months!
We've been doing a mix of visiting cities and trekking and intend to do the same in Asutralia (Blue Mountains and Tasmania).
We are both easy going and love discovering new cultures and new people.
This is our first time on Couchsurfing.
As our "planning" in New-Zealand was very much day to day we didn't try to do any couchsurfing but we'd love to try the experience in Australia as we will be moving around less.
We also finished the renovation of our appartment back in south of France just before leaving and hope to welcome people when we return.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is not just about not sleeping in a hotel room, sharing dorm beds in a hostel or sleeping in a tent. To us it's about meeting people and sharing something with them (whether it's a conversation, a glass of wine or a beer, a meal, or a stroll)

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music, classical, pop, country, R&B, jazz and swing, indie...
I also watch all kinds of movies but mostly things like The Lord of the Rings, Avengers, Tomb Raider (the last one), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hunger Games... Or Selma, In The Mood For Love, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Neruda, The Help, A Star Is Born. And of course I love animation movies such as Coco, Moana, Zootopia, and all the Miyazaki.
I mostly read recent novels but also like to read 17th to 19th century novels and discovered myself a fan of women adventurers books and biographies (Gertrude Bell and Ella Maillart fan!).
I woudn't watch or read anything, but I'm pretty open minded!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quit my decently paid and secure job that didn't make me happy to go trekking and do some filming with my partner for 4 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone is different. And that is why it always is interesting meeting someone new!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to hear their stories if they feel like it, talk about something else if they want, make some crêpes or chocolate muffins with zucchini instead of butter (and it taste about as good!).
