About Me

I'm just a guy from Maine. I live in Victor Idaho and spend most of my time either skiing or thinking about skiing. I am incredibly passionate about food and love to cook for other people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined couchsurfing to meet cool people in cool places while on a roadtrip across the United States. Since then, couchsurfing has provided me with some unbelievable relationships that I am incredibly grateful for.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Authors:
Hermann Hesse, Tolkien, Phillip K Dick, John Steinbeck

I really like all philosophical fiction (Orwell, Huxley, Tolstoy, Rand), regardless of the philosophical or political leanings of the author. There is something really fascinating about having a philosophical opinion and then creating an entire fictional universe to illustrate the consequences of that opinion.

Favorite Movies:
I'm a sucker for romantic and/or stupid comedies. Actually, I like most kinds of movies but especially Rom-Coms.
Rom-Com tier list:
S- 500 Days of Summer, 10 Things I Hate About You, Crazy Stupid Love
A- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, When Harry Met Sally, 50 First Dates
B- Way too many movies to list

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked on a commercial salmon fishing boat for a summer in Alaska!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love food and cooking. I have always felt that one of the best ways to connect with someone is to make a meal together and then sit down and share the experience of eating it. I would be ecstatic to teach you a dish that is close to my heart or learn something culinary related from you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A book, good conversation, a meal, above average trivia team member.

I love pretty much anything competitive as well, especially board and card games. I'm decent at chess, but Catan is the game that is really close to my heart.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Peru, Slovakia, Spain
