I live in a rural area in beautiful North Cornwall, not too far from the coast. I’m originally from London so have swapped city for country. I'm a poet, keep a few cows as pets (I'm mostly vegan) and manage land for wildlife and biodiversity. Into psychology and emotional literacy and mindfulness & buddhist psychology. Dancing but not clubbing (anymore!) I try to keep a daily meditation practice.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I used to travel when I was younger- the days of no internet or phones. It was sometimes a challenge to keep in contact with loved ones. If there was something like CS then it would have been great! CS is such a good idea, putting travellers in touch with each other. I've had a long break from travelling but there's still a bit of a wanderer in me and I'm happy to welcome fellow wanderers.
Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot of contemporary poetry. Books The Goldfinch Donna Tartt Milkman Anna Burns I like a C19 novel Films past and present The Favourite Fishtank Anything by Pedro Aldomavar American Beauty Quite enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody- for the nostalgia factor Music A wide taste in music - from techno to folk to house to hoedown. Maybe not jazz .. though willing to listen
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Resistance to question. This morning my coffee was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I make good vegan food - share/teach. I’m flexible though, if the situation demands ie: sometimes eat eggs and dairy. I would like to learn more Spanish- I've been learning since January 2019 - its early days! I can help with English if needed. If you're scared of cows come and meet mine 😊 I know a lot about plants - I used to be a gardener and I know our wild plants too. Depending on my schedule I am happy to help guests enjoy the area. Sometimes I am busy, sometimes not! If you arrange a trip in advance I can plan in some time.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'm pretty good company - ask my friends! I can cook and I'm curious about people and their everyday lives - that's where the poetry lives. If you need to learn English I can help.
