About Me
Hi I’m Oliver and I’m 21 ! I'm studying economics in Brussels and I'm passionate about circular economy and urban agriculture. I would love working in this sector after college. I’m also passionated about ocean that’s why I’m studying for my boat driving license in Belgium. I have practiced some diving session and I hope to pass my first star to dive in smaller groups. I also like surfing but I’m still a apprentice !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting directly people, their culture and have some discussions about their vision of life. I think personally that is really important to discover a lot of different cultures, to share and be open-minded.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made a road trip in USA for 2 months with my girlfriend in USA at 18. That was one of the most inspirational trip I’ve never made. We were living in our car or with couchsurfers during the evening and during the day, we were driving around USA. 🚗🇺🇸
I also had the chance to do a road trip with my best friend in the middle of the winter in Iceland which was breathless. We were sleeping in the car the nights, driving or discovering the country the day. We hitchhiked a bit before having the van but that was pretty cold 🥶 🇮🇸
I and friend traveled from Namur ( Belgium ) to Marseille ( France ) by hitchhiking without any money. We were making money on the road ( at least we tried to ) and sleeping where we were able to find place. Anything was planned so everything was possible. That was great ! 👍🏼🇫🇷🎒
A second road trip alone in USA where I finally wasn’t so alone. I met some people who joined me and also friends came to visit me. That was awesome to experience this kind of travel because even I we fear the solitude it is a good way to learn about yourself ! 🏜️
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach and share:
Basically, I’m travelling to learn and share experiences and stories with my host and other coach surfers or locals. I can teach you different stuffs like some gardening, how to change a wheel, how to paint, some handcrafted jobs.
I can share everything about my culture, some funny stories about my trip, some of my cooking skills (maybe not Gordon Ramses but not that bad)
Learn:
Like I said before, I’m studying sailing rules in order to pass my boat driving license so I would like to learn how to sail in practice. I also would love to learn fishing and learn all the different types of fish. I’m very open to learn everything that you can teach me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think that the destination of a travel is not that important. What makes a travel awesome is all the adventure and meetings. I’m traveling to learn everyday, to meet people, to learn about different cultures, to dream about new things, to be a free spirit. I want to share a maximum of time with my host or my surfers ( I’m okay with not hanging out too ) around a dinner, a walking, an outdoor activity or a beer ( I’m from Belgium so it’s my guilty pleasure )
