I am taking a gap-year and traveling until I turn 60! Started pre-covid and was in Myanmar March 2020....now restarting and doing Cape Town to Cairo to kick it off in October 2022. I am a foodie and street food makes me dance a happy dance. (Plus, I am a decent chef) I stay fit through running and lots of walking. Interested to explore/learn yoga for stretching/flexibility. I am adventurous, quite funny and polite too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a solo traveler = backpacking and staying in hostels and camping a bit (I brought my tent) but, sometimes it would be terrific to meet more local people and see a city through their eyes. Cooking together is always a good way to connect with people and for me to learn a new dish - or to teach a friend how to make one - usually brings smiles! A dinner party is my happy place.
I am independent and don't need handholding - though tips and tricks for unlocking secrets to your city is always welcome. If you enjoy showing off your city....i will be happy to soak it in!
